What’s Happening?

January 15, Monday: No school in observance of Martin Luther King 

January 18, Thursday:  ACS Mom’s Club Meet Up at 8am in Parish Hall.  Grab a coffee and treat.  Guest speaker Dr. Pristash. 

January 18, Thursday: Cyber Safety for Parents, Dr. Lisa Strohman at 6:00 PM in the Parish Admin. Building, floor two (enter from the side entrance). We are bringing Dr. Lisa Strohman back for another parent presentation on protecting our children online.The dangers and pitfalls of the digital world are real and continue to expand. If you care for your child’s physical, social, mental, emotional, moral, and spiritual health, we strongly urge you to attend this special event and learn strategies for protecting your child from the real threat of digital addiction. Set aside one hour to learn how to protect your child in the digital world. January 19, Friday: 8th Grade Free dress for $1 to help support the 8th grade end of year field trip to Flagstaff.  Upcoming free dress dates (Friday): February 23, March 15, April 19.

Extracurricular News!

Jan 17 – Mar 4 Spring session for Strong Minds Run Club is open for students in Kindergarten – 5th grade. This club includes running drills, games and  teaches character strength and empowerment principles! Students will do lots of running, have FUN in the fresh air, and practice invaluable life lessons. Coming Up!

January 28, Sunday, Catholic Schools Week (Open House):  Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday with All School Mass followed by our open house and Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest. The full calendar of events will be posted soon.

The KoC Free Throw Contest is open to all students aged 9-14.   All participants must turn in a completed entry form and be registered on the sign up genius link below before Jan 20, 2024.  Click the link for more information about the KoC Free Throw Contest and sign up at the link below!

February 11, Sunday: Mother Daughter Galentine’s Event following the 10:30 am Mass in the Parish Hall. Keep an eye out for more information and the link to purchase tickets and volunteer opportunities!

Community Events

January 20, 2024:  Midwestern University’s annual free dental day (no strings attached, really) for kids ages 6-14. See the attached flier for reservations and all details.


Volunteer Opportunities

ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.   

  • If you have not completed your Volunteer certification, please visit our Volunteer Service web page for complete information. This must be completed before you can volunteer.
  • Download the Mobileserve App! Signup for volunteer opportunities and is used to track all volunteer hours.  Parents, please create an account.  Instructions are attached.  With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
  • URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty Jan 16 – Jan31. Lunch duty opportunities are available at Mobile Serve. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student!  Plus, we need your help!
