What’s Happening?
January 26, Friday: Early dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare. School staff meetings.
January 28, Sunday, Catholic Schools Week (Open House): Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday. Check out the full schedule of events by visiting the ACS Catholic Schools Week webpage.
It all kicks off with a pep rally on Friday, January 26 and then on Sunday, January 28 we have an All School Mass at 10:30AM followed by our open house, pizza lunch, blood drive and the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest.
The KoC Free Throw Contest is open to all students aged 9-14. All participants must turn in a completed entry form and be registered on the sign up genius link below before Jan 20, 2024. Click the link for more information about the KoC Free Throw Contest and sign up at the link below!

St. Gabriel’s Events:
January 21, Sunday: The Knights of Columbus are hosting a pancake breakfast after all Masses.
January 23, Tuesday: Eucharistic Revival continues with Fr. Timothy as he talks about Living a Eucharistic Life: God’s Greatest Gift from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Adult Faith Formation BLDG on the 2nd floor in the St. Gabriel & St. Michael Rooms.

January 20, 2024: Midwestern University’s annual free dental day (no strings attached, really) for kids ages 6-14. Click here for reservations and details.

February 11, Sunday: Mother Daughter Galentine’s Event following the 10:30 am Mass in the Parish Hall. Keep an eye out for more information and the link to purchase tickets and volunteer opportunities!
March 15-17, Friday – Sunday: Frozen Jr. the musical performed by the ACS students. Ticket sales are coming soon so save the date!
Extra Curricular News
Jan 17 – Mar 4 Spring session for Strong Minds Run Club is open for students in Kindergarten – 5th grade. This club includes running drills, games and teaches character strength and empowerment principles! Students will do lots of running, have FUN in the fresh air, and practice invaluable life lessons. January 19, Friday: 8th Grade Free dress for $1 to help support the 8th grade end of year field trip to Flagstaff. Upcoming free dress dates (Friday): February 23, March 15, April 19.
Volunteer Opportunities
ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.
- If you have not completed your Volunteer certification, please visit our Volunteer Service web page for complete information. This must be completed before you can volunteer.
- Download the Mobileserve App! Signup for volunteer opportunities and is used to track all volunteer hours. Parents, please create an account. Instructions are attached. With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
- URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty Jan 16 – Jan31. Lunch duty opportunities are available at Mobile Serve. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student! Plus, we need your help!
