Student Council

Annunciation holds elections for Student Council at the beginning of the school year. Students must be in middle school (grades 6-8) to apply. Positions available are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Student Affairs, Religious Affairs, and Class representatives from grades 6, 7, and 8. Students who wish to run for a position must present a campaign speech to all students in grades 4 -8 who in turn vote for the leaders. Votes are tallied by the Student Council Advisors and announced.

The Student Council operates to improve the student experience through various works of service, stewardship, campus events, religious celebrations, and school spirit.

Each year the student council members from the Catholic schools in the diocese of Phoenix attend Student Council Leadership Day hosted by Bourgade Catholic high school. This is a fun filled day shared by student leaders from the various Catholic middle schools who come together to meet and learn from each other by sharing ideas. The student leaders are split into groups for planned activities and games to help foster new relationships and problem solving in teams.

We look forward to our coming elections and will post the names of the 2020-2021 Student Council members after elections have taken place.
