What’s Happening?

December 4 – 19, Pajama Drive.  Student Council is hosting the pajama project helping children in foster care.  Donate new pjs of all sizes to reach our goal of 250 pajamas!  Collection boxes are in the school buildings.  Students will earn a PJ day on December 21, ONLY if we meet our goal!

December 18:  Frozen Jr. Musical.  We are looking for more ensemble actors and actresses.  This is a fun and easy way to enter into theater.

December 20,Wednesday: Christmas Concert student attire: Guys in ties with dress shirts, pants and shoes. Girls in modest holiday attire. No spaghetti straps, no strapless, length to the knee. Girls should be in flats or low heels. Please dress respectfully for the event and setting.  

December 20,Wednesday: Annunciation Christmas Concert in the church at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to this festive evening!  Students arrive by 6:10pm.  Concert is free of charge.  If you would like to purchase front row seats, flowers, or get your family photo with Santa see below…

Flower Sales – Buy your special performer a bundle of carnations! Bundles will be available to pick up at the front door. Proceed benefit ACS. Flowers: Bundle of 5 carnations for $10 

Get a picture with the Big Guy–  Santa is coming to ACS!  Get your family photo in your “Concert” best outfits prior to the Christmas concert.  Santa will be here from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.  Photos will be emailed to you. Cost is $25 . Proceeds to benefit the Class of 2024. 

Christmas Concert Seats –  Purchase Christmas concert seats available in the first, second and fourth row. The third row is reserved for all parents to come and go for a quick photo or recording when your students’ class is performing.  This is a great chance to get front row seats to see the best performance in town!

December 21, Thursday:  Noon Dismissal.  No aftercare.  No lunch service.  

December 22 – January 5, 2024:  Christmas break.  Have a joyous and safe holiday break. School resumes January 8, 2024.

Coming Up!

Strong Minds Run Club – Spring session, Jan 17 – Mar 4 is open.  This club includes running drills, games and  teaches character strength and empowerment principles! Spring season for Soccer Shots.  Enroll/register  HERE  For students K-2nd, build soccer skills, coordination, friendships and fun.  Soccer Shots meet on Wednesday, 3:10 – 4:10pm.

Dance Club:  Tippitoes offers ballet, tap and Jazz meets monthly on Mondays 3:10pm – 4:10pm.  Enroll at:  tippitoesdance.com/scottsdale.  

January 19, Friday: 8th Grade Free dress $1 to help support the 8th grade end of year field trip to Flagstaff.  Upcoming free dress dates (Friday): February 23, March 15, April 19.

ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.   

• If you have not completed your Volunteer certification, please visit our Volunteer Service web page for complete information. This must be completed before you can volunteer.
• Download the Mobileserve App! Signup for volunteer opportunities and is used to track all volunteer hours.  Parents, please create an account.  Instructions are attached.  With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
• URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty Dec. 18 – Dec 20. Lunch duty opportunities are available at Mobile Serve. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student!  Plus, we need your help!
