Tuition, Fees & Assistance
Tuition and Fees
Annunciation partners with Smart Tuition for tuition and fees billing. All school families are required to have an active Smart Tuition account. Smart Tuition has a yearly registration fee of $50 billed in your first billing month. All families receive monthly billing alerts via email. Along with tuition, all school fees including aftercare, field trips, book fines, and team athletic fees are billed through Smart Tuition.
New families to Annunciation must enroll with Smart Tuition by June 1 for the 12-month payment plan, or July 1 for the 10-month payment plan, semi-annual and annual plans. If you choose the annual plan with full payment due in August, your $50 Smart fee is waived. Please visit Enroll with Smart and select Annunciation or use our Smart School ID 12118.
Returning families are automatically re-enrolled into the same payment plan as the previous year. Please login to your existing Smart Tuition Account if you wish to change your payment plan, banking or credit card information or your monthly payment date. Note credit/debit cards should be reviewed for expiration dates and you are responsible for updated your card information with Smart Tuition. Expired cards will result in a failed payment and a fee.
If your financial circumstances change requiring an adjustment to your monthly payment, please contact Lynn Schwartz in the school office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (480)361-8234. Account adjustments must be made 3 business days prior to your due date so call as soon as you can. Smart Tuition customer service can help with payment and account questions as well.
Tuition Assistance from Catholic Education Arizona (CEA)
All families registered with Annunciation for the 2021-2022 school year are eligible to apply for tuition assistance through the Catholic Education Arizona (CEA) tuition assistance program. Those who meet the financial requirements will receive aid. All applications are reviewed by Financial Aid Independent Review (FAIR). To learn more about how scholarships are determined and deadlines for applications, please visit catholiceducationarizona.org. To be considered for first round funding you must be enrolled with Annunciation Catholic school for the 2021-2022 school year and your CEA application and required tax must be submitted by April 15, 2021.
Parents will receive Round 1 award notification via mail at the end of June.
If you enroll at Annunciation after the Round 1 deadline in April, you may apply for round 2 funding. The deadline to apply to round 2 is mid August. Round 2 award notification occurs in late September.
Applying to CEA:
The application to apply for CEA tuition assistance typically becomes available in early February for the next school year. Please visit www.fairapp.com to apply.
Returning applicants use your email and password to login. Then select the appropriate school year and select the "Edit" button to complete your application which has been started for you based on the previous year information.
New applicants to FAIR should select Create New Login and complete the required fields. When prompted, use the school code 700 and school password is cea700.
If your student is transferring from a public or charter school in state, please complete the Public School Verification form and return to the school office so it can be submitted to CEA directly. This form is due to CEA by the first week of May to qualify for round 1 Switcher funding.
Note: Tax documentation for the previous year is required for all applications. Incomplete applications will not be considered. You are responsible to check the status of your application on the FAIR website. For applicants who do not file tax returns, please complete the Statement of Income 2021-2022 (2020 Tax yr.) form and upload that with your application. If you plan to file a tax extension, you must provide the tax extension forms to FAIR.
For more information about the application process, please contact the school office.
Other School Tuition Organizations
Parents are encouraged to apply to more than one tuition assistance program to help cover their tuition expense. There are many other STO's authorized to provide these funds to our students. The 2017 AZ Department of Revenue Certified School Tuition Organizations list is available HERE. This list contains the names and contact information for all STO's. Your school may accept tuition dollars from any of the listed organizations. There are some STO's that will provide different levels of funding depending on the special circumstance of the student (e.g. support services for a disability). Please refer to the particular STO’s website for any questions you may have about their parameters involving special circumstances. If the website does not have the information you need, call the organization directly.
STO's frequently used by Annunciation parents:
Arizona Tuition Connection
Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund
Arizona Leadership Foundation
Catholic Tuition Support Organization
Arizona Community Foundation
Arizona Education Scholarship Foundation
Institute for Better Education (IBE)
Further assistance may be available to those with special financial circumstances through your parish.
Please contact the school office if you have questions about tuition assistance.
