Catholic Schools Week
Each year Annunciation Catholic School participates in the celebration of Catholic Education during National Catholic Schools Week. This year Catholic Schools Week runs from January 28 - February 2, 2024.
During this special week, we have a packed schedule of activities including classroom projects that reflect the corporal works of mercy.
We will also have a school wide service project to help our local St. Vincent de Paul to help fill their food pantry. In 2023, the food bank experienced a shortage. This year they are preparing for a 30% increase in need we aim to bring int 2,000 lbs of food! Our student SVdP group, the Vibrant Vinnies, will be visiting each classroom to share their service experience.
We kick it all off with a pep rally on Friday, January 26 and an Open house on Sunday the 28th. All are welcome to our open house which begins after the 10:30 Mass. Students should come in full uniform.
Each school day our students will have a special event inlcuding a living rosary, community prayer, learn about vocations and religious life with a visit from the Sisters of the Pierced Heart, enjoy a guest performance by Florian Sacred Musical Group, and more!
Together we celebrate our parish, our community, our teachers and staff, those who choose religious life, our nation, and on the last day we celebrate our school as a whole.
We end the week with our much anticipated and highly spirited annual 8th grade vs. faculty/staff volleyball game.
