What’s Happening?

Urgent: Lunch duty volunteers are needed every school day when lunch is served. We have many openings on August 22, 23, 24, 25!  Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student!  Plus, we need your help!  Please sign up in MobileServe to volunteer for Lunch Duty in August.

August 23, Tuesday: Middle School Curriculum night. 6-7 pm in the parish hall.

August 23 & 24 Tues, Wed:  Adoration in the Chapel 9 am – 8 pm.  Please come and adore…

August 25, Thursday:  Community Prayer at 8:10 am in the parish Hall.  8th grade will lead.  All are welcome!

August 26, Friday:  Staff development day – noon dismissal.  Send in a snack with your student.  No lunch and no aftercare.

August 30, Tuesday:  American Heritage Girls Informational Meeting – 6-7:30pm in the Faith Formation build (D). All girls K-12th grades are invited to join. Come check out the fun, faith and adventure. A parent is recommended to attend.

Coming soon:

September 5, Monday:  Labor Day no school.

September 14, Wednesday: Dine Out Fundraiser at Oregano’s Cave Creek.  Dine-In or Take Out   Oregano’s will give 20% of your bill (before tax and gratuity) back to ACS!  Come out to fellowship and earn money for ACS!

ACTION NEEDED:  Important Information: 

• Private Affidavit (new students only) and Transportation of a Minor (all students) forms need to be notarized.  Original documents need to be dropped off to the office.  The forms are attached for your convenience.  
• All students that require Epipens and/or Inhaler should bring one (labeled with your child’s name) to school with appropriate paperwork. K-5 students’ epipens/inhalers will be stored in classroom first aid kits. 6-8 must carry their epipens/inhalers with them at all times.  Follow this link for all health related forms.

Volunteer Opportunities

ACS  Volunteers:  We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.   

• Complete your Safe Environment Training with CMGconnect .   All training is online – renewal (Online Renewal for Lay Persons -Safe Haven Part 3) and 1st time volunteers: Online Foundation Training Safe Haven-It’s Up to You.   Instructions are attached.   Your safe environment training must be completed prior to volunteering on campus.  Please complete it as soon as possible.   
• MobileServe App is used to track all volunteer hours.  Parents, please create an account.  Instructions are attached.  With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
• View and join the volunteer opportunities that are available.  Thank you for being part of the ACS Community.
