What’s Happening?
September 5, Monday: Labor Day no school.
September 6, Tuesday: Join the Catholic Identity Committee at the first meeting of the school year! Help enrich the students with our Catholic faith! CIC meets every first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 am in the school office (kitchen). Contact Sarah Cupo cic@acsphx.org for more details.
September 7, Wednesday: Show your Catholic Spirit wearing your Catholic themed socks! Every first Wednesday of the month all students are invited to wear Saint Socks! Look for our fundraiser this year in November to stock up on fun Catholic socks and more from Sock Religious!
September 7, Wednesday: Soccer Shots begins after school 3:10 – 4:10 pm. Soccer shots is for K-2nd grades and has availability. Parents are still welcomed to enroll by following the link below. Enrollment Link: https://phoenix.soccershots.com/pd/241/annunciation-catholic-school
Future Happenings:
September 11, Sunday: All School Mass 8:30am All welcome to attend. Students in ACS uniform are able to wear free dress. Please follow non-uniform dress guidelines.
September 12, Monday: First Rosary. JOYful Mysteries led by 8th Grade in the Church at 2:20pm.
September 13, Tuesday: Dad’s Club first Meeting at 6:30 p.m. The Creek Patio Grill. Please RSVP through event invitation and details here: http://evite.me/dSqVPQCGNk or by sending an email to Mike Scagnoli, mscagnoli@gmail.com. We hope to have you with us on September 13!
September 14, Wednesday: Picture day! All students K-7th in blue polo. 8th grade in light blue polo.
September 14, Wednesday: Dine Out Fundraiser at Oregano’s Cave Creek. Dine-In or Take Out Oregano’s will give 20% of your bill (before tax and gratuity) back to ACS! Come out to fellowship and earn money for ACS!
October 1, Saturday: School fundraising event Oktoberfest at Harold’s. More information coming soon!
Order Now: Source & Summit Missal for 2023
Would you and your family like to have personal copies of Source & Summit? This missal in our pews contains all the weekend and holy day readings, citations for daily Mass, hymns, and devotional prayers. It is a wonderful aid to assist us in our prayers during Mass and at home.
If you would like your own copies, please contact Mark at music@stgacc.org or call the parish office. Please consider a $10 donation to cover the costs of each copy. Orders are due before September 26.
ACTION NEEDED: Important Information:
- Private Affidavit (new students only) and Transportation of Minor(all students) forms need to be notarized. Original documents need to be dropped off to the office. The forms are attached for your convenience.
- All students that require Epipens and/or Inhaler should bring one (labeled with your child’s name) to school with appropriate paperwork. K-5 students’ epipens/inhalers will be stored in classroom first aid kits. 6-8 must carry their epipens/inhalers with them at all times. Follow this link for all health related forms.
Volunteer Opportunities
ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.
- Complete your Safe Environment Training with CMGconnect . All training is online – renewal (Online Renewal for Lay Persons -Safe Haven Part 3) and 1st time volunteers: Online Foundation Training Safe Haven-It’s Up to You. Instructions are attached. Your safe environment training must be completed prior to volunteering on campus. Please complete it as soon as possible.
- Mobileserve App is used to track all volunteer hours. Parents, please create an account. Instructions are attached. With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
- View and join the volunteer opportunities that are available. Thank you for being part of the ACS Community. URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty September 6, 7, 8 and 9! Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student! Plus, we need your help! Please sign up to volunteer for Lunch Duty in September.
