What’s Happening?
December 4 – 19: Annual ACS Pajama Drive! Collecting new, all sizes pajamas for foster children. Goal is 250 new PJs. Collection boxes in school office and school buildings.
December 10, Sunday: Breakfast with St. Nick at Our Lady of Joy at 10am. All are welcome. Please see the flier.
December 12, Tuesday: BJ’s Restaurant in Desert Ridge provided a generous discount on the cost of the Thanksgiving Feast. In appreciation, help them promote Pizookie Day! They are in a contest with other stores, so if you like Pizookies – warm cookie topped with ice cream – come out on Tuesday! See the attached flier. Ugly sweaters are optional!
December 12, Tuesday: The last Entrepreneur club meeting for this year at the parish hall at lunch time. Pizza will be served.
December 13, Wednesday: Dorian Photographers return to campus for Individual portrait retakes. Please email office@acsphx.org if your student will need retakes. If you ordered pictures, please bring them on retake day.
December 15, Friday: 8th Grade Free dress $1 to help support the 8th grade end of year field trip to Flagstaff. Upcoming free dress dates (Friday): January 19, February 23, March 15, April 19.
December 20,Wednesday: Annunciation Christmas Concert in the church at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to this festive evening! Students arrive by 6:10pm. Concert is free of charge. If you would like to purchase front rows see below…
Flower Sales – Buy your special performer a bundle of carnations! Bundles will be available to pick up at the front door. Proceed benefit ACS. Flowers: Bundle of 5 carnations for $10
Get a picture with the Big Guy– Santa is coming to ACS! Get your family photo in your “Concert” best outfits prior to the Christmas concert. Santa will be here from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Photos will be emailed to you. Cost is $25 . Proceeds to benefit the Class of 2024.
Christmas Concert Seats – Purchase Christmas concert seats available in the first, second and fourth row. The third row is reserved for all parents to come and go for a quick photo or recording when your students’ class is performing. This is a great chance to get front row seats to see the best performance in town!
December 21, Thursday: Noon Dismissal. No aftercare. No lunch service.
December 22 – January 5, 2024: Christmas break. Have a joyous and safe holiday break. School resumes January 8, 2024.

Spring session, Jan 17 – Mar 4 for Strong Minds Run Club is open. This club includes running drills, games and teaches character strength and empowerment principles! Spring season for Soccer Shots. Enroll/register HERE For students K-2nd, build soccer skills, coordination, friendships and fun. Soccer Shots meet on Wednesday, 3:10 – 4:10pm.

ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.
- If you have not completed your Volunteer certification, please visit our Volunteer Service web page for complete information. This must be completed before you can volunteer.
- Download the Mobileserve App! Signup for volunteer opportunities and is used to track all volunteer hours. Parents, please create an account. Instructions are attached. With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.
- URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty Dec. 11 – Dec 15. Lunch duty opportunities are available at Mobile Serve. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student! Plus, we need your help!
