Important Dates:

September 29 & 30: Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences. Students in grades 6, 7, and 8, will not attend school those 2 days. School is in session for grades K-5.

Future Happenings:

October 1, Saturday:  We are excited to announce our first ACS fundraiser – Oktoberfest at Harold’s Corral!  Our school is competing again this year for top sales! Authentic German Buffet, Polka music, and more!  Please spread the word…our school earns money for each ticket purchased with our QR code. This is an adult only event, so plan your next date night and help support our school at the same time. See the attached flyer to buy your tickets!

October 7 & 10 No School. Educators day on Friday, and Fall break on Monday. Enjoy the long weekend. 

October 19, Wednesday – ACS Grand Land Adventure Glow Run: Get ready for this year’s character-themed Boosterthon Fun Run.  This event is one of our most successful events to help raise funds for our advanced technology programs and supplies for the classroom.  We are currently looking for business sponsors.  Please see the attached letter to take to any friend, family, or local business you think would support ACS!  More information from your Classroom FunD Angel will come.

October 20 & 21 Kinder – 5th Grade Parent Teacher Conferences. K-5 early dismissal on Thursday October 20, no school K-5 on Friday, October 21.

October 28, Friday – Trunk or Treat.  Family community event.  Come enjoy trick or treating around the trunks.  Event begins after 4:30 pm Mass – 5:45pm.

October 28 – November 4:  ACS Bookfair.  Watch for opportunities to shop and volunteer.  to be held in the parish/social hall.  Details coming.

March 24-25:  The return of ACS theater:  presents Madagascar JR musical.  Look for information on auditions (early January) and parent volunteer opportunities.

If you are interested in helping with this year’s Evening Under the Stars Dinner and Silent Auction, please contact Keli McCann at kmccann@acsphx.org.  Volunteer hours for this event help fulfill your annual 30-hour family service commitment. 

ACS Garden – Dr. Pristash recalls talking to a parent recently about starting a garden at school, but now doesn’t remember who it was.  If you are that parent interested in helping start a gardening club, please contact Dr. Pristash. spristash@acsphx.org  Thank you!

Order Now: Source & Summit Missal for 2023 Would you and your family like to have personal copies of Source & Summit? This missal in our pews contains all the weekend and holy day readings, citations for daily Mass, hymns, and devotional prayers. It is a wonderful aid to assist us in our prayers during Mass and at home.

If you would like your own copies, please contact Mark at music@stgacc.org or call the parish office. Please consider a $10 donation to cover the costs of each copy. Orders are due before September 26.

ACTION NEEDED:  Important Information: 

  • Private Affidavit (new students only) and Transportation of Minor (all students) forms need to be notarized.  Original documents need to be dropped off to the office.  The forms are attached for your convenience.  
  • All students that require EpiPens and/or Inhaler should bring one (labeled with your child’s name) to school with appropriate paperwork. K-5 students’ EpiPens/inhalers will be stored in classroom first aid kits. 6-8 must carry their EpiPens/inhalers with them at all times.  Follow this link for all health related forms.

Volunteer Opportunities

ACS  Volunteers:  We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.   

  • Complete your Safe Environment Training with  CMGconnect .   All training is online – renewal (Online Renewal for Lay Persons -Safe Haven Part 3) and 1st time volunteers: Online Foundation Training Safe Haven-It’s Up to You.  Instructions are attached.   Your safe environment training must be completed prior to volunteering on campus. Please complete it as soon as possible.   
  • MobileServe App is used to track all volunteer hours.  Parents, please create an account.  Instructions are attached. With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school.  View and join the volunteer opportunities that are available.  Thank you for being part of the ACS Community. URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty for September 19 – 23!  Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student!  Plus, we need your help!  Please sign up to volunteer for Lunch Duty in September.
