ACS Weekly Update: Friday, March 27, 2026

Happy Friday ACS Families!

Reminder: National Junior Honor Society is striving to reach their goal of 300 pairs of shoes for their Shoe Drive! Drop off used or new shoes for donation! Collection boxes in the school and the office!


What’s Happening?

  • March 28, Saturday: The Annual Daddy & Daughter Dance. 6:30 – 8:30pm, ACS Outdoor Pavilion. Order tickets now!
  • March 30, Monday: Community Prayer led by 2nd Grade at 2:20pm.
  • April 1, Wednesday: Parish Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt! Volunteers needed. The event starts at 7pm, open to all ages, food and drink will be provided. Come out and enjoy the evening with your St. Gabeโ€™s/ACS community!
  • April 2, Thursday: ACS Field Day starts at 9:15am with opening prayer.
    • Volunteers and Snacks needed! Click the links to signup!
    • Students in grades 4-8 wear PE shorts with ACS spirit shirts or PE shirts.ย 
    • K-3 students wear ACS spirit shirts and shorts to the knee please.ย 
    • Hats and sunscreen are a good idea!ย 
  • April 2, Thursday: Early Dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare.
  • April 3, Good Friday: No school.
  • April 5: Easter Sunday!

Coming Up!

  • April 6 – 10, Mon. – Fri.: Easter Break no school. Classes resume on Monday, April 13.
  • April 13-24: ITBS Testing for grades 3-8 from 8:15am – 12pm. Class testing schedules will vary. Good sleep and a healthy breakfast is important especially during the testing weeks. The majority of tests are done the first week but some classes will have testing into the 2nd week. All students should arrive on time. Morning appointments should be rescheduled to avoid missing the testing period.
  • April 15, Wednesday:
    • Last Day to apply to Catholic Education Arizona for tuition scholarships for 2026-2027. We encourage all incoming kindergarten families to apply and anyone who has a need for tuition assistance.ย 
    • Application period for Arizona Leadership Foundation opens today and runs through June 17. Corporate scholarships for those who qualify. Donโ€™t miss out!
  • April 17, Friday: Rosary led by the 2nd grade at 2:20pm.
  • April 26, 27, 28: ACS School Musical Production of The Lion King Jr. in the parish hall. Order your tickets online now!
    • Friday evening: 7pm
    • Saturday matinee at 2pm. Evening show at 7pm
    • Sunday matinee at 2pm
  • May 1, Friday: May Crowing. Details to come!
  • May 6, Wednesday: ACS All School Spring Concert at 6:30pm in the parish hall.

New sessions of After School Clubs beginning soon!

  • Sticky Fingers Cooking Club new session starts Tuesday, March 31. K-5th students are welcome. Register now!

Summer Camps at ACS

ACS Summer program and camps for June and July are being planned and updated! Check it out!

Student Tuition Organizations scholarships for 2026-2027

With the increase in tuition next school year, we encourage all families who need assistance next year to please apply to Catholic Education Arizona by the April 15 deadline for round 1 funding. You should also apply to Arizona Leadership Foundation starting on April 15 – June 17. See the links below. If you wish to have friends and family donate their AZ tax liability to your student specifically, please apply to Arizona Tuition Connection, IBE, AZPESF or STO4Kidz. There are many others as well, just Google Arizona Tuition Tax Credit scholarships to find more.

Catholic Education Arizona – Apply now through April 15

Arizona Leadership Foundation – Application period opens on April 15- June 17, 2026

Arizona Tuition Connection – Enroll now for 2026-2027

STO4Kidz – Opens April 18- June 1, and again Nov. 1 – Dec. 1.

Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund – Application opens March 1

Institute for Better Education (IBE) – Applications open on May 16, 2026

Safe Environment Training:  To volunteer on campus or ACS events, each volunteer must complete the Safe Environment Training (SET).  Please go to CMGConnect.  Complete the training, Foundation Online for new volunteers and Renewal for Lay People for returning volunteers.

Volunteerism is the backbone of our school community. We need your help especially for lunch/recess, field trips, and school events.
