Weekly Update: Friday, January 30, 2026

We had a very fun-filled Catholic Schools Week! Special thanks to Ms. Molinaro and all the staff and volunteers for planning this fun week for everyone! Thank you, Bishop Olmsted, for celebrating Mass with us! We appreciated the delicious staff lunch today and all those who attended our annual Staff vs. 8th Grade volleyball game. (The 8th Graders won!!)


Congratulations to our girls’ softball team and their coaches on winning the CYAA Small Schools Softball Championship! Come check out their first-place trophy in the school office lobby!


REMINDER: Save the date, Saturday, March 14 for the Annunciation Catholic School Gala de la Joie at Grayhawk Golf Club!

What’s Happening?

  • February 6, Friday:
    • School Rosary at 2:20pm. Luminous mysteries led by the 3rd grade.
    • ACS Boosters Drive In Movie Night at Big Earl’s Greasy Eats in Cave Creek. Family fun and games from 5-8pm. Movie starts at 6:30pm!
  • February 7, Saturday: Human Trafficking 101 hosted by the St. Gabriel Respecting Life Ministry and presented by the Where Hope Lives.

Coming Up!

  • February 13 & 16, Friday and Monday: No school, Presidents Weekend!
  • February 18: Ash Wednesday. Ashes distributed at 8:15am Mass.
  • February 20, Friday: Join us from 8:00am – 12:00pm for a Library Open House and Book Sale in the school library hosted by our library volunteers.  Parents are invited to tour the library, check out books for their children, and shop our used book sale. Proceeds will help fund new library projects and resources. We’ll be serving coffee and pastries. Books will be available 4 for $1 (cash only). Swing by after drop-off or before early dismissal. Hope to see you there! 
  • February 20, Friday: Early Dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare. First Friday of Lent.
  • February 22, Sunday: School Mass at 10:30am followed by the Faith & Family Hour in the parish hall. Don’t miss the presentation Protecting Your Children in a Digital World, presented by Retired FBI agent Patrick Cullen. Childcare provided for kids aged K-8.

Safe Environment Training:  To volunteer on campus or ACS events, each volunteer must complete the Safe Environment Training (SET).  Please go to CMGConnect.  Complete the training, Foundation Online for new volunteers and Renewal for Lay People for returning volunteers.

Volunteerism is the backbone of our school community. We need your help especially for lunch/recess, field trips, and school events.
