What’s Happening?  

• October 4, Saturday: Blessing of the animals at 10am in the church courtyard in honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. Bring your family pets! (be prepared to clean up after them as well!)
• Oct. 4 & 5: After all Masses this weekend, come shop the beautiful olive wood religious items made in the Holy Land from Bethlehem Gifts! 
• October 10 & 13, Fri. & Mon.: No School. Friday is Educator Day meetings for teachers, Monday, Columbus Day.

• October 17, Friday: School Rosary @ 2:20pm. The Sorrowful Mysteries led by the 6th grade.
• October 19, Sunday: Arizona Rosary Sunday hosted by the AZ Knights of Columbus at the Phoenix Convention Center from 2-4:15pm. Signup now for a ride via chartered bus from St. Gabriel’s!
• October 19, Sunday: ACS Piano Recital after the 10:30am Mass, in the parish hall.
• October 20, Monday: ACS Garden Club begins and runs 8 consecutive Mondays through December 8. Open to all ACS students. Cost is $100 per student. REGISTER HERE.
• October 22, Wednesday: Picture Retake Day for all students who were absent Sept. 10 and for those who wish to have their students’ pictures redone. Beginning at 9:15am.
• October 23, Thursday: High School and College funding workshop! More info to come.
• October 24, Friday: Trunk or Treat! Starting at 5:30pm. Look for more info coming soon.
• October 25, Saturday: Annual Campus Cleanup by the ACS Dad’s Club from 8:30 – 11:30am. All Dads and their students are welcome to participate. Please rsvp to dadsclub@acsphx.org
• October 26, Sunday: ACS Family Mass at 10:30am, followed by Family & Faith Hour in the parish hall. Childcare will be provided for students in grades K-8.
• October 31, Friday: All Saints Day and Grandparents Day Celebration and Book Fair! Save the date and invite the Grandparents to come for this special event. Refreshments will be provided.
• October 31, Friday: Early dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare. Staff meetings. 

After School Clubs: Check out all of our current after school extra-curricular clubs being offered this fall including Garden Club, Art Angels, Chess Club, cooking club, STEM club, and dance!

• The next Sticky Fingers Cooking session is open!  Fall session is from Oct 21st – Dec 8th, Tuesday after school.  Grades K-8 are welcome to learn to cook healthy and fun food!
• Garden Club begins Monday, October 20 and runs each Monday through December 8.

WE NEED YOU!

Safe Environment Training:  To volunteer on campus or ACS events, each volunteer must complete the Safe Environment Training (SET).  Please go to CMGConnect.  Complete the training, Foundation Online for new volunteers and Renewal for Lay People for returning volunteers.

Volunteerism is the backbone of our school community. We need your help especially for lunch/recess, field trips, and school events.

ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all of our ACS volunteers.   

• Help Needed – Volunteers for lunch duty needed for the month of August and September. Lunch duty opportunities are available at  MobileServe. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer and meet other parents.
