What’s Happening?
August 17, Saturday: Back to School BBQ after the all school 4:3pm Mass at St. Gabriel’s. All school families and staff are invited.Visit Annunciation Back 2 School Bash to RSVP Don’t miss the fun! All food and water donations should be brought to the pavilion on Saturday before Mass.
August 21, Wednesday: Middle School Curriculum Night, please have at least one parent in attendance. 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. 8th grade parent meeting immediately after.
August 30, Friday: Early Dismissal at 12 p.m. No lunch, no aftercare. Staff meetings.
September 2, Monday: Labor Day, no school.
After School Clubs: From 3:10 – 4:10 pm
Monday: Tippie Toes Dance hip hop and jazz. $75 per month.
Wednesday: Chess Club with Chess Emporium and Soccer Shots,

Other Fun Activities!
American Heritage Girls. All girls in grades K -12 are welcome. Service, Faith and Fun! 1st and 3rd Tuesday every month, 5:30pm – 7pm in Parish Hall. First meeting is Tuesday, August 20.
Cactus Foothills Little League – Baseball, Softball and T-Ball! Ages 4-14. Visit www.cactusfoothills.com to register!
Librarian needed: We need your help! We are looking for volunteers to help run the school library. Tasks include adding new titles to the online catalog, assisting students with checking out books when they visit the library, collecting the books from the classrooms, and restocking the shelves. Another important task is ensuring that all books offered to our students are appropriate in content.
Our previous school parent “Librarian”, Haide Casey, is not able to continue in this role. However, she updated the student accounts over the summer and will train all new volunteers.
The schedule for classroom visits is flexible, though afternoons are preferred. Don’t miss out on this fun opportunity to get your service hours completed while you make friends, enjoy the kids, and perhaps read a book between classroom visits!

Aftercare
Aftercare is available each full school day(not on half days) until 5:30pm The cost is $10 per day per student. Students must be picked up by 5:30 or you will be charged a late fee of $25. See our website for Extended Care information.
