What’s Happening?

• Wednesday, Aug. 12:
  • Weekly school Mass begins at 8:15am. 8th grade students please wear the light blue school polo shirt. All students should be neatly dressed, hair combed and in full uniform.  Parents are encouraged to attend. Doors are closed and locked by 8:15am. If you arrive late, please ask for assistance to enter. If your child is tardy, please sign them in at the front office before you escort them to the church.
  • Catholic Identity Committee Meeting immediately after Mass for all parents interested in helping develop our school’s Catholic identity. 2nd floor parish administration building. 
  • K – 5 Curriculum Night at 6:30pm in the K-5 building. At least one parent of students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade should plan to attend. No students please.
• Thursday, Aug. 13: Middle School Curriculum Night for parents of students in grades 6-8 at 6:30pm (was originally 6pm) in the K-5 building. At least one parent should plan to attend. No students please. 
• Saturday, August 15: All school Mass at 4:30pm followed by the back to school BBQ hosted by the ACS Dad’s Club in the parish hall. All school families are invited to attend!

Coming up!

• Friday Sept. 4: Early dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare. Pack snacks and water bottles please.
• Monday, Sept. 7: No school, Labor Day holiday.
• Wednesday, Sept. 9: Picture Day with Dorian Studios. Purchase info will be provided soon. Individual and class pictures will be taken starting after morning Mass.  K-5 students must wear the blue school polo shirts. Girls wearing the plaid jumper must wear the approved white blouse underneath. Only school approved hair accessories. No face make-up.  8th graders wear light blue polo. Please check the ACS uniform code if you are unsure or call the office with any questions.

After School Care and Extracurricular Activities

• Aftercare is available each full school day until 5:30pm. Please visit our Extended Care info page for details.
• Afterschool Extracurricular Clubs:
  • Mondays: Crazy Cool Science Club. Open to grades K -5. Session one starts  8/20. Session two starts- 1/7  Link to register
  • Tuesdays: Sticky Fingers: Open to grades K -5. Fall session 8/25-10/27, Winter session 11/17-2/16, Spring session 3/2-5/11 Link to Register
  • Wednesdays: Chess Club: Open to all grades. Fall session  8/26 – 11/18  Link to register
  • Thursdays: Play-well Lego Engineering: Open to grades K -5. Fall Session 8/20-10/15 Link to register

Volunteer Opportunities

• Safe Environment Training required for all volunteers:  Please visit our Volunteer Info webpage to learn how to start/renew your Volunteer Certification and learn how to download the MobileServe App to volunteer and to record your service hours. You must have completed the required training to volunteer.
