What’s Happening?
November 18, Saturday: ACS All School Mass at 4:30 pm. Students in ACS uniform, please. All are welcome!
November 18, Saturday: ACS Fall Fest Movie Night has been canceled.
November 21, Tuesday: The ACS Annual Student/Staff Thanksgiving Feast! All students and staff will be treated to a Thanksgiving feast. No need to order or pack a lunch this day. Students must bring their water bottles and morning snacks. Look for the opportunity to volunteer on Mobileserve soon! Please note: Students who have food allergies or generally don’t like Thanksgiving fare are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
**Join us after the feast for the St. Cecilia Music Festival at 2pm in the parish hall with Mrs. Trayer**
November 17 – 29: ACS holiday See’s Candy fundraiser! A little something yummy for you plus you help out our school by simply shopping! Time to think about Christmas presents for all those special people in your life! Also, show your gratitude to your neighbors, teachers, mail people, etc. Fliers went home with students too! Return completed form not later than November 29. Please make checks payable to Annunciation Catholic School.
November 22-24, Wed – Fri: Thanksgiving break. No school. Give thanks to the Lord for he has blessed us abundantly! Enjoy the Thanksgiving break. Safe travels to everyone.
November 30, Thursday: ACS Track and Field begins for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Practice on Thursdays after school. Meets are also on Thursdays. Please email athleticdirector@acsphx.org if your student is interested.
December 2, Saturday: Kiwanis Christmas Event “for the kids” at Sanderson Center Carefree (101 Easy St, Carefree, AZ) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This FREE event will again feature Kiwanis giving away bicycles to the kids of three different age groups every hour. Kids and parents have to be there to win! The event will also include puppies, games, face painting, carriage rides, and Santa Claus! FREE hot dogs, popcorn, cookies, and hot chocolate too!
December 2, Saturday: Tickets for our ACS Night at the Phoenix Suns game on Saturday, December 2, are still available for purchase! Join us to watch Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and the new-look Suns square off against the Memphis Grizzlies. Tickets include exclusive access to pregame warm-ups courtside. Coming Up!
December 5,6,7, Tue -Thu: Auditions for the ACS School Musical: Frozen Jr – Students sign up for an audition slot: Click to Audition Here This is a No cut performance. All students will audition and receive a part. Students will sing 16 bars/30 seconds of a song of their choice and read a few lines in small groups. Tue/Wed: audition Thur: dance and callbacks. Dec 11, Mon: Casting will be announced.
December 5-8, Wednesday – Friday: ACS Christmas Market is open for student shopping. More info will be sent home soon!
December 10, Sunday: Breakfast with St. Nick at Our Lady of Joy at 10am. All are welcome. Please see the flier.
December 13, Wednesday: Dorian Photographers return to campus for Individual portrait retakes. Please email office@acsphx.org if your student was absent on will need retakes.
December 15, Friday: Next 8th Grade Free dress $1 for 8th grade end of year field trip to Flagstaff. Upcoming free dress dates (Friday): January 19, February 23, March 15, April 19
December 20, Wednesday: ACS Christmas Concert at 6:30 pm in the church. Student attire is their holiday best! Students should arrive by 6:10pm. All are welcome to this festive evening!
December 21, Thursday: Noon Dismissal. No aftercare. No lunch service.
December 22 – January 5, 2024: Christmas break. Have a joyous and safe holiday break. Class resumes January 8, 2024.
