ACS Athletics
The 8th-grade Girls’ Volleyball Team
Congratulations to the 8th-grade Girls’ Volleyball team for taking 2nd place in the CYAA Small School Volleyball Tournament. We are very proud of their dedication and determination shown on and off the court this year.
Calling All Volunteers!
Book Fair-Our Din-O-Mite Book Fair will start on Monday, October 31 thru November 4. Volunteers are requested to help as a cashier, assist customers, and clean up. Please look to Mobileserve.com for the service opportunity.
Evening Under the Stars– The Evening Under the Stars-The Joker’s Wild- will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023. A lot of fun things are planned for this event. If you are interested in being part of the team, please email Keli McCann at kmccann@acsphx.org. Volunteers are needed for the following committees: Auction, Donations, Sponsorships, Baskets, Setup, and Clean up.
What’s Happening?
October 28, 2022, Friday: Trunk or Treat. Join us for a Spooktacular night of fellowship. See the attached flier.
October 30 – November 4 – Book Fair – Reading is Dino-Mite. The Dino-Mite Book Fair is here and we’re ready to STOMP, CHOMP and READ! Bring your Mighty STAR readers to the book fair to pick out a new favorite book. Many new titles and authors to choose from at the ACS Book Fair! ACS Angels will get to experience the magic of the onsite school shopping experience by discovering new authors and picking up some awesome trinkets. Every dollar you spend will benefit our school by 75%.
November 4, Friday: Grandparents Day at 9am-noon. Come celebrate All Saints with your grandchildren. More details are coming. Noon dismissal.
October (for the month of) Pinks Moving Company will give back to ACS 10% from any booking during October when they mention the code PINKS31. Please see the attached flier.
Future Happenings:
November 5, Saturday: Dads Club Annual Campus Clean-Up Day, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Dads and kids, join us for our annual effort to clean and beautify the wonderful ACS campus grounds. This year families can also bring used electronics to campus for free recycling. All proceeds from the recycled E-waste will benefit Annunciation. See attached flier . November 7, Monday: Monthly Rosary – Sorrowful Mysteries led by 6th grade at 2:20pm in the church. All are welcome.
November 14-18, M-F: Caring Coins. National Jr Honor Society members organizing an upcoming event – Caring Coins. NJHS will collect coins for St. Vincent de Paul November 14 – 18. See the attached flier for more details. Thank you for your donations! Every penny counts!
We will have containers at the main doors to both the middle and lower school buildings.
The collection starts November 14 and continues throughout the week.
And we will inform the teachers this upcoming week, as we will be handing out posters and flyers throughout the school.
Volunteer Opportunities
ACS Volunteers: We appreciate all our ACS volunteers.
- Complete your Safe Environment Training with CMGconnect . All training is online – renewal (Online Renewal for Lay Persons -Safe Haven Part 3) and 1st time volunteers: Online Foundation Training Safe Haven-It’s Up to You. Instructions are attached. Your safe environment training must be completed prior to volunteering on campus. Please complete it as soon as possible.
- MobileServe App is used to track all volunteer hours. Parents, please create an account. Instructions are attached. With your account, you’ll be able to view and sign up for events at the school. View and join the volunteer opportunities that are available. Thank you for being part of the ACS Community. URGENT: We need volunteers for lunch duty for October 31 – Nov. 3! Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student! Plus, we need your help! Please sign up to volunteer for Lunch Duty in November.
