Dear ACS Parents,
Happy Friday!
Thank you to all who attended the ACS Gala D’amore which took place last Saturday evening. It was a beautiful event that was well attended and supported. Thank you to our major donors for their tremendous financial support. Thank you to our wonderful development team Ms. Dena Wholey, and her assistant, Mrs. Shannon Castle, all the wonderful ACS fundraising volunteers, especially Mrs. Paige Hill, Mrs. Chelsea Cordell, Mrs. Amanda Brown, and our amazing team of homeroom Angels, including our social media expert, Mrs. Bri Gesell. We are very grateful for such an amazing school community!
In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year…
- If you are currently using ESA and would like to do so next year, please check your email account as renewal emails from the AZ Dept. of Ed. are coming! Please sign and submit asap!
- Order a student supply kit for the 2025-2026 school year from Edukit! Deadline to order is June 15! Or if you would rather purchase your supplies on your own, download your Student Supply list from our website.
- Online Enrollment will begin on Monday, May 5. Look for the email coming from FACTS. Only one parent needs to complete the information. Online enrollment must be completed by May 19!
What’s Happening?
May 4, Sunday:
- All school Mass at 10:30am. Come celebrate Mass together with our 8th grade graduates who will be attending in cap and gown!
- Piano Recital for Mrs. Trayer and Mrs. Himmelein’s students in the parish hall after Mass.
- Sacrament prep for ACS students preparing for first holy communion.
May 5, Monday: We wish safe travels to our 8th grade class and their chaperons who will be departing the campus early Monday morning for their 8th grade trip. Please keep them in your prayers as they travel to meet and serve the students at St. Michael Indian School located near Tuba City on the Navajo reservation. From there they will travel to Flagstaff for the evening and spend Tuesday enjoying various activities before they head home late Tuesday evening.
May 5-9, Monday – Friday: Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you parents for celebrating our teaching staff! Here is the list of activities planned:
- MONDAY: Coffee Bar (after drop off) Hosted by Kinder & 1st Grade Parents
- TUESDAY: Grab-N-Go Snack Cart (after drop off) Hosted by 2nd & 3rd Grade Parents
- WEDNESDAY: Sweet Treats Station (after Mass) Hosted by 4th Grade Parents
- THURSDAY: Drink Trolley (after drop off) Hosted by 5th Grade Parents
- FRIDAY: Catered Lunch (St. Gabriel Room, 2nd floor, church office from 11 to 1:30) Hosted by 6th, 7th & 8th Grade
May 7, Wednesday: Incoming Kindergarten Parent Orientation. 10am in the parish hall. Please rsvp. Invite via sign up genius was sent to all incoming kindergarten families.
May 9, Friday: Annual ACS Talent Show in the parish hall at 1:30pm. Registration has been sent out and needs to be dropped off to the office no later than Monday, May 5, 2025.
Coming up!
May 13, Rosary led by K & 8 buddies, at 2:20pm in the church.
May 14, Wednesday: 8th grade students last day of school! The class will have lunch with the Middle School teachers. Pep rally and Clap Out details coming soon!
May 16, Friday: 8th grade graduation Mass at 1pm in the church.
May 22, Thursday: Kindergarten Class Promotion and reception in the parish hall starting at 1:45pm. 8th grade buddies are invited to attend!
May 23, Friday: Last Day of School! End of year student awards ceremony at 11am in the parish hall. Parents are welcome to attend. Early dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare. Summer vacation begins!

- Aug. 4 – Open House and New Family Orientation
- Aug. 6 – First day for students
- Apr. 13-24, 2026 – ITBS Testing for grades 2-8
- May 22 – Last day for students

Volunteer Opportunities – Don’t forget your service hour requirement!
- Help Needed – Volunteers for lunch duty needed. Visit MobileServe to sign up and enter your service hours. Your help is needed so please come when you can. Lunchtime is an easy way to volunteer, meet new friends and see your student!
- Safe Environment Training required for all volunteers: Please visit our Volunteer Info webpage to learn how to start/renew your Volunteer Certification and learn how to download the MobileServe App to volunteer and to record your service hours.
