Weekly Update- Friday, January 31, 2025

Dear ACS families,

What a week!!!  We hope all who attended our annual Open House last Sunday had a great time. Special thanks to Dad’s Club President Mike Scagnoli for taking care of lunch for everyone. Our student ambassadors were very helpful as well. Thanks to all who attended Mass and open house!

Our Catholic Identity Committee (CIC) did a great job planning and facilitating our Catholic Schools Week. Special thanks to Sarah Cupo and Chelsea Cordell for all their preparation and hard work in making this week fun for all the students and staff. We are grateful for Fr. Clement, who visited our campus to speak to the students and share his personal story about his calling to the priesthood. He talked about his family and took many questions from the students about his life. The staff enjoyed the delicious luncheon on Tuesday. The students also prayed the Living Rosary in the church.

The big finale of the week was the annual faculty/staff vs 8th grade volleyball game. The ACS faculty and staff, with the help from the St. Gabriel staff, defeated the 8th graders after a losing streak of 4 long years. The crowd of students and parents cheered on both sides and it was fun ending to a terrific week. So much fun!

In other news…Congratulations to our 8th grade boys basketball team and their amazing coaches for winning the 2025 C.Y.A.A. Small Schools Basketball championship! This is the 2nd year in a row that ACS has dominated the tournament and brought home the 1st place trophy! We are very proud of these young men. Come see their trophy in the office lobby! See our Champions below!
