Dear ACS families,
Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winner Shaan I. and first runner up Mason B.! Shaan will compete in the Diocesan Spelling Bee on January 22 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. We are very proud of all 12 finalists who participated in the ACS Spelling Bee today!
What’s Happening?
Sunday, Dec. 8: Santa pictures at the ACS Christmas market in the parish hall after all Sunday Masses for pictures! The Christmas market will be open with a limited selection of items.
Mon., Dec. 9: Holy day of obligation, Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mass at 8:15am. No PE uniforms. Students will not attend Wednesday Mass.
Monday-Friday, Dec. 9 – 13: ACS Christmas Market opens to the school students for shopping time with their class and after school.
Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 9 – 18: Student Council Pajama Drive collection runs from the 9th – 18th. The goal is 300 pairs of PJ’s! If we meet our goal, students will have PJ day on Dec. 20!
Wed., Dec. 11: Picture retakes with Dorian Studios. Picture day attire required. Please email the office if you wish to have your student’s picture retaken.
Wed, Dec. 11, 6:30-7:30pm: Digital Safety Parent Presentation by Dr.Lisa Strohman, psychologist and online safety expert. Learn how to keep your child safe online. Held in the 2nd floor adult faith formation. If you have never attended one of her talks, please don’t miss it. Good for all parents no matter your child’s age. You will learn things you never knew about the dangers of kids being online, including video games!
Coming up!
Tues. Dec. 17, 6:30pm: Advent Penance Service at St. Gabriel’s – Several priests will be available for confession this evening.
Thurs. Dec. 19: ACS Christmas Concert at 6:30pm in the church. Students arrive by 6:10pm. Girls in modest Christmas attire and guys in ties please. (Modest = no high heels, no strapless/spaghetti straps, no mini length, no form fitting, etc.)
Fri., Dec. 20: Early dismissal at 12pm. No lunch, no aftercare.
